Character Setting

Edit

Miranjo is a mysterious woman whose spirit remains trapped within a magical mirror, after losing her body due to tragic circumstances, and she drives the downfall of a kingdom through manipulation and cunning.

Miranjo no longer possesses a physical body; her soul is bound to a magical mirror.

In the past, she was a gentle-looking woman known for her intelligence and grace.

She suffered severe physical mutilation, losing the skin on her face and both hands before being saved and healed by Bosse and a powerful sorcerer.

Intelligent, strategic, and fiercely devoted, Miranjo will stop at nothing to fulfill her desires.

Her early kindness was warped by repeated betrayals and tragedies, making her willing to employ any means necessary to achieve her goals.

She is capable of deep devotion and love but also harbors bitterness and a hunger for control.

Despite her past, she is capable of reflecting upon and regretting her actions.

Miranjo was born in the Magic Kingdom of Houma.

Her father was killed in battle by Bosse, an accidental tragedy that changed her life.

After her kingdom fell to the gods, Miranjo and her mother sought refuge in the country of Gyakza, hoping for peace.

However, the people of Gyakza betrayed them; her mother was murdered for profit, and Miranjo herself had her face and hands cut off, displayed as a spectacle until she nearly died of starvation.

She was ultimately saved by Bosse, who avenged her and brought her to a powerful sorcerer who healed her wounds.

From then on, Miranjo became fiercely loyal to Bosse, walking a dark path to see him become the strongest.

She introduced Shiina to Bosse and helped him produce Bojji, believing this would help Bosse achieve greatness.

Bosse’s absence led Miranjo to orchestrate Shiina’s murder, and she was ultimately betrayed and killed herself.

A demon intervened, binding her soul to a magical mirror on the condition that he would consume her soul upon her next death.

As a spirit within the magic mirror, Miranjo is capable of manipulation, offering advice and orchestrating complex plots.

Her magical background allows her to communicate telepathically and influence events remotely.

During her life, she was an extremely powerful sorceress, adept at strategy and subterfuge.

She used her abilities to revive Bosse by possessing Daida’s body and had influence over other key characters.

Bosse: Her savior, obsession, and the person she devoted her existence to.

Daida: Initially manipulated as a pawn, later becomes her husband after her resurrection.

Hiling: Target for assassination in her schemes.

Shiina: Rival for Bosse’s affection, orchestrated her murder.

Bojji: Instrumental in her plans, later helps set her free.

Demon: The entity who housed her soul within the mirror, intent on eating her soul upon her next death.

Despa: Showed empathy and advised her toward redemption.

Magic Kingdom of Houma: Her homeland, and her greatest sorrow.

Her Mother: Her guiding light and deepest loss, whose memory shapes her actions.

Miranjo was portrayed by Maaya Sakamoto as an adult, and Maika Yoshida as a child.

Despite her significant role as an antagonist, she finds redemption in the story’s conclusion.

She becomes a teacher to the children after her resurrection.

“I just wanted to be with Bosse, even if the world had to be destroyed for it.”

“I have done so much, just for one person to notice me.”

“To get what you want, sometimes you must let go of your past.”

Manipulation and Resurrection

After losing her body, Miranjo’s soul remains in the magical mirror gifted by Bosse to Daida.

Acting as a wise consultant, she skillfully manipulates Daida, steering his choices to further her ambition—the resurrection of Bosse using Daida’s body.

Orchestration of Plots

Following Bosse’s death, Miranjo seizes the opportunity, luring Daida into a trap to enact Bosse’s revival.

She orchestrates an assassination attempt on Hiling, hoping to cement power and eliminate obstacles to her plans.

Tragedies and Origins

Her descent into darkness began in the Magic Kingdom of Houma.

After witnessing her father’s death at Bosse’s hands, she fled with her mother to Gyakza, bearing the hope of peace.

Hope turned to horror when her mother was murdered, and Miranjo was mutilated and left to die as a public spectacle.

Rescued by Bosse and healed by a magician, her loyalty to Bosse became absolute.

Downfall and Reflection

She masterminds many dark schemes, including the murder of Shiina and attempts to sacrifice Daida for Bosse’s return.

Confronted by Bojji’s kindness and the pleas of her mother and Shiina in the afterlife, she realizes her actions were self-serving and regrets her path.

Final Redemption and Return

After the mirror is broken, fulfilling her bargain with the demon, her soul is consumed.

However, teamwork between Desha and Despa brings down the demon.

At a critical moment, Daida wishes for Miranjo’s resurrection instead of personal gain, granting her a second chance.

Fully restored, she accepts Daida’s heartfelt proposal, vowing never to repeat her tragic mistakes.

Life Beyond Vengeance

Forgiven by Daida and guided by Despa, Miranjo is encouraged to seek happiness for herself and the people around her.

She becomes Daida’s wife, an educator to children, and begins living a life of purpose and hope.

Her story is a poignant exploration of revenge, redemption, and the search for acceptance.

Her journey from tragedy to peace adds depth to the Ranking of Kings universe, making her a standout, multifaceted character.
