Fuutarou Uesugi

The protagonist of the story. A second-year → third-year student at Asahi High School. Born on April 15th. Height: 178 cm. He is an honor student who consistently scores perfect marks on tests and is the top of his class. He is characterized by his sharp sanpaku eyes and a distinctive ahoge that branches out from the top of his head. Although he is a serious and diligent person, he is socially inept, often being self-righteous and making sophistic arguments. He frequently adopts a high-handed attitude towards others and often earns resentment by speaking his mind. As he interacts with the Nakano sisters, he begins to show a sincere side and grows significantly as a person. While he is intellectually gifted, his physical abilities are quite low, being on par with Miku, the most athletically challenged of the five sisters. Additionally, he has keen insight, noticing the sisters' worries and personal issues, and he guides them towards solutions each time. He makes efforts to gain trust and earnestly faces others, showing that his true personality is compassionate and empathetic. In class, he has no apparent friends and tries to avoid interacting with people as much as possible. Initially, there was a rift between him and the Nakano sisters, but due to the aforementioned traits, he is now strongly trusted and liked by them. However, he only sees them with the affection of a tutor, so he is somewhat bewildered by their trust and affection. Having no romantic experience, he is quite ignorant of such matters, but he has a vague sense that his first love is among the sisters. In fact, he has a past as a delinquent during his elementary school days, and at that time, he dyed his hair blonde. Back then, he had a mischievous, bossy personality and had normal friends. Although he has reformed now, he keeps a photo from his blonde days tucked in his high school student ID. Incidentally, he had unknowingly met the Nakano sisters during his childhood. Upon advancing to the third year, due to the intentions of the Nakano sisters' father, he ends up in the same class as the sisters and is appointed class representative on Yotsuba's recommendation.
