Hamsuke

The monster whom Ainz met during his rise to fame as the adventurer Momon. Her gender is female.

In the vicinity of E-Rantel, she was known as the "Wise King of the Forest" and had lived for hundreds of years as a legendary magical beast. She made the southern part of the Great Forest of Tob near Nazarick her territory.

Her appearance is that of a giant Djungarian hamster large enough for a human to ride. She refers to herself as "sonohashira" and speaks in a samurai-like tone, ending her sentences with expressions like "gozaru."

Although she possesses legendary strength by this world's standards, she is considered weak by Nazarick's standards. This gap between the reputation of her being a mighty beast and her actual strength left Ainz feeling exasperated. When Ainz showed a bit of his true power, she became terrified, lowered her head, and pledged loyalty to him, calling him "lord." She was named "Hamsuke" on this occasion.

Afterward, she acts together with Momon, serving as a symbol of his fame, a signboard, and a substitute for a riding horse. In Nazarick, she is treated as both an experimental subject for acquiring warrior class skills and as Ainz's pet. Though Ainz has mixed feelings about her and has developed a slight attachment to her, this has led the Nazarick NPCs to become jealous.
