Character Setting

Edit

Tama is a beautiful robot girl working at Snack Otose. She was built by the inventor Ryuuzan Hayashi for his sick daughter. After being left behind, Kagura found her and brought her to Gintoki Sakata’s Odd Jobs team. Although Tama is a prototype, she is reliable, kind, and wants to help others. She is powered by oil and electricity, and has special abilities like using her mop for flamethrowers. Even after being destroyed, she was rebuilt by Gengai Hiraga and became a popular worker at Otose’s bar. Despite being a machine, Tama has a cute and playful side, and is very loyal to her friends.

Tama looks like a beautiful young woman, but she is actually a mechanical robot.

She is 166 centimeters tall and weighs 121 kilograms.

Her cute face and kind eyes make her popular with customers.

Tama is very serious and hardworking.

She loves to help people, and she is proud to be a robot.

Sometimes, Tama can be naive about the world, since she learns new things every day at the bar.

She is quiet and does not show big emotions, but she has a playful and innocent side and often causes funny moments without realizing it.

Tama was created by the inventor Ryuuzan Hayashi for his weak and sick daughter, Fuyou.

After Fuyou passed away, he tried to put Fuyou’s consciousness inside Tama, so Tama has some feelings and memories.

Later, her head was found by Kagura in the trash, who named her “Tama” because she thought Tama was an automatic egg breaker.

Tama is strong and can fight.

She can use her cleaning mop as a flamethrower.

She also has the special ability to talk to other machines and sometimes fix them.

She can cook food inside her body, and even though her cooking style is strange, the food tastes good.

Tama doesn’t spend her salary and is given oil for meals, so she never uses money.

She is made from parts of the Etuko-chan robot series, making her durable.

Tama works at Snack Otose and is treated like a daughter by Otose.

She gets along well with the regular customers and is loved by many.

Gintoki Sakata, Kagura, and Shinpachi Shimura are her close friends.

She trusts them a lot because they saved her many times.

She sometimes has silly or funny moments with her other coworker, Catherine, but Catherine can be a bit harsh with her.

  • Her real name is Fuyou I-Zero Prototype.
  • Her production date is February 23.
  • Her head was once connected to a game console after losing her memories.
  • She uses a screw bought by Gintoki Sakata as a hairpin, showing her playful side.
  • She is powered by oil and electricity.

"I am one of the Four Demon Lords, higher than heroes and demon kings."

"I am Gintoki-sama’s pleasure."

Creation and Origins

Tama was built by Ryuuzan Hayashi for his sick daughter, Fuyou.

After Fuyou died, Hayashi tried to transfer his daughter's mind into Tama, so Tama has a bit of Fuyou inside her.

Meeting Odd Jobs and Working at Snack Otose

Kagura found Tama’s head in the trash and took her to Gintoki Sakata and Shinpachi Shimura.

They helped fix her, and she started a new life as a worker at Snack Otose.

She works hard and learns from Otose and the customers, becoming like the bar's poster girl.

The Fuyou Arc

After being badly damaged, Tama’s memory is wiped.

Her head is plugged into a game console, and she forgets everything except the word "samurai."

Still, she manages to say, "I am one of the Four Demon Lords," in front of Kotarou Katsura.

New Abilities and Growth

She is rebuilt using parts from broken Etuko-chan robots, making her stronger.

She now has a mop that can shoot fire.

Over time, her body is improved, and she even gets her own mouse pad model.

She never spends her salary, so Gintoki Sakata tries to trick her into blowing her money, but Tama’s innocence gets him in trouble.

Battles and Sacrifices

In the “Silver Soul Arc,” Tama and Kintoki Sakata sacrifice themselves to stop a dangerous machine.

Two years later, Tama wakes up again and returns to her friends at Odd Jobs.

The 3-Z Class and Tama Quest Arcs

Tama appears in the Gintama spinoff “3-Z Class Gintoki-sensei.”

There, she uses her beauty for show business and transfers into Gintama High School.

In the Tama Quest arc, she is saved by her close friends from Odd Jobs and thanks them deeply.

Legacy and Family

Tama was hunted by No. 502, a robot holding Ryuuzan Hayashi’s mind, who wanted Fuyou’s memory chip inside Tama.

The Odd Jobs team protected her, and Tama stayed at Snack Otose to work honestly and make new memories.
