Rudeus Greyrat

The protagonist of this work, nicknamed "Rudy," is a reincarnated individual from modern Japan, born in the village of Buena in the Fittoa region of the Asura Kingdom. In his previous life, he was a recluse until the age of 34 due to bullying in high school, which led him to not even attend his parents' funeral. He was kicked out of his home by his siblings and died in an accident while trying to save three high school students from being hit by a truck. After reincarnating, he resolves to live seriously this time, regretting having given up halfway on everything in his previous life.

He strives to "not get carried away," "not blame others," and "work hard," learning magic, swordsmanship, and languages from a young age, and avoids quarreling with others as much as possible, always considering the other person's perspective and his own faults to avoid speaking ill of them unilaterally. Despite being considered a hardworking and mild-mannered person, he is fundamentally a lecherous and tactless person, which can sometimes make others uncomfortable. He also jokes around and mocks others internally, and although his bad traits from his previous life have not completely disappeared upon reincarnation, he grows through various encounters with others.

From a young age, his magical training and the Laplace factor give him an extremely high total amount of magical power. He can use attack magic without chanting, and by controlling the generation and imbuing magic, he can release even low-rank magic with imperial-level power. However, the human body cannot withstand using magic that matches the total amount of magical power, so he cannot use magic that leverages his vast amount of magical power. Also, he can only use attack magic without chanting; healing magic and others require chanting. His special techniques include "Rock Cannon," where he shapes rocks with magic and launches them at high speed, and "Mud Swamp," a combination of water and earth magic. However, at the age of 11, the Demon Emperor Kishirika changed his right eye into the "Foresight Eye," which allows him to see a few seconds into the future, enabling him to win against advanced swordsmen without using magic. His skills are recognized by some of the world's most powerful individuals, but due to his experiences with such overwhelming opponents and reflections on his previous life, he has a low self-esteem. Conversely, others often mistakenly think his accidental successes are strategic, leading to a tendency to overestimate him.

In addition to "Human Language" learned in his childhood, he can also speak "Beast God Language" taught by Ghislaine, "Demon God Language" learned from a dictionary received from Roxy, and "Fighting God Language," which has grammar similar to Human Language.

After learning magic from his tutor Roxy, he taught magic to Sylphiette and later became a tutor for Eris to earn tuition for Ranoa Magic University. The day after his 10th birthday, he was transported to the Demon Continent with Eris during the Fittoa region teleportation incident, where they were saved by Ruijerd of the Superd tribe. The three then formed the adventurer party "Dead End" and aimed for the Asura Kingdom. After three years, they arrived in the Fittoa region, and Rudy parted ways with Ruijerd and Eris to search for his missing mother, Zenith, in the northern part of the Central Continent.

During his search in the north, he acted as an adventurer to raise his profile so Zenith could find him, and within two years, he became known as "Rudeus of the Mud Swamp." After receiving a report from Elinarise that Zenith was on the Begaritt Continent and that Paulo and others had headed there, he followed the advice of Elinarise and Hitogami and enrolled as a special student at Ranoa Magic University.

In the Netlabo Investigation Team's "Jobless Reincarnation" character popularity ranking, he was ranked 5th.

Arrogant Water Dragon King (Aquahartia)

Rudeus's favorite staff, presented to him by the Boreas Greyrat family on his 10th birthday. Made from a fist-sized water magic stone from a stray sea dragon and the arm of an Eldarturent capable of manipulating water magic, this staff enhances water magic by five times, earth and wind magic by three times, and fire magic by two times. However, given Rudeus's vast amount of magical power and his ability to alter the generation of magic without chanting, the staff is not very meaningful, and using it does not make much of a difference.
