Childhood and Motivation
When Yuito was a young child, an Other attacked him, killing his mother.
He was saved by a mysterious female OSF soldier, who turned out to be Kasane Randall from the future.
After this, he decided to join the OSF, hoping to help others like he was helped.
Originally, Yuito was "Powerless" (called a "Bellpepper"), which is why he was hospitalized as a child.
Training and Joining OSF
Yuito endured intense training, finally awakening his psychokinesis.
He survived the painful SAS cable connection that others could not, proving his strength.
Yuito’s mother had also created an ear cuff for him, meant to protect his memory from the side effects of forced power activation.
Early OSF Experiences

This leads to Nagi, manipulated by Karen, killing Captain Seto Narukami.
Becoming Team Leader
After Seto’s death, Yuito takes over as team captain.
He uncovers deeper secrets about himself, his family, and his powers.
He learns his psychokinesis is actually a special power called "Red Strings," letting him manipulate gravity and even jump through time.
50 Years in the Future
In one story route, after seeing Seto’s death, Kasane uses the Red Strings and ends up fifty years in a destroyed Suoh.
There, they meet an old, blind Yuito, who has lost his vision from using too much medicine to keep his power active.
Despite being blind, Yuito is strong and easily fights off Others.
He explains that the "Kunad Gate," a disaster swallowing the world, was caused by his existence in this timeline.
He asks Kasane to end his life to stop the disaster.
Kasane does so, and with her return to the past, this ruined future disappears.
Secret of His Power
It turns out when Yuito was saved by Kasane as a child, he awakened his powers and received the ear cuff.
That device kept him safe from the harmful effects (like memory loss) that come with his power.
His and Kasane’s real psychic ability is the "Red Strings"—the power to control space and time, not just normal psychokinesis.
Kasane’s power is stronger, fully able to jump through time, while Yuito’s is weaker.
Yuito dislikes being judged by his family name, wanting to make his own path instead of following politics.
He tries to stay true to his beliefs and work hard to protect the people of New Himuka.
