Kaname Sudō

The protagonist of the story. His father is on a solo assignment overseas, and his mother has passed away, so he lives alone in an apartment. His paternal grandfather is a swordsmith in the countryside, but he has a bad relationship with his son who abandoned the family, and Kaname has only met him once before entering elementary school. He was invited by his classmate and friend Kyoda to participate in Darwin's Game without knowing its content. Despite being a beginner, he quickly gained attention as a player by consecutively defeating renowned opponents like "Banda-kun" and "Shuka." By finding the treasure hidden in Shibuya with his companions during his first event, a treasure hunt game, he was promoted to B rank and established the clan "Sunset Ravens." Furthermore, he was promoted to A4 rank and became the third in the Japanese rankings after being granted the clearance of the "Hunting Game" by Oboro. He avoids involving ordinary people unrelated to the D-Game. After taking control of Shibuya, he announced a D-Game prohibition order in the territory of the Sunset Ravens to all players. To prevent ordinary players from dying, he opened a clan shelter together with the "Danjou Boxing Club." His ability is a mythological-level psychokinetic materialization ability called "Kagutsuchi," which allows him to generate objects he knows. He excels at creating single-purpose tools with clear purposes, like guns or blades, but cannot create things he doesn't understand structurally, objects too large like cars, or multi-purpose and overly complex items like smartphones. The effective limit distance is about 2 km around him, beyond which the items disappear, and if multiple items are materialized simultaneously, the effective limit distance significantly decreases. The duration lasts until he loses consciousness or until he touches the item and wills it to "return." The privilege obtained from clearing the treasure hunt event is "High Roller," which allows him to initiate a high-stakes winner-takes-all gamble, betting all his chips and forcing the opponent to "bet" up to the same amount, similar to an all-in in poker.
