Riko Saikawa

A third-grade girl attending Oborozuka Elementary School, she becomes Kanna's classmate and an irreplaceable best friend when Kanna starts attending the school. She is a tomboyish girl with a wide, shiny forehead as her charm point. With a high-handed and self-centered personality, she acts like the queen of the class, and her lack of cooperation due to her competitive nature makes her unpopular among her classmates. In reality, she wants to get along with everyone but can't be honest about it, and her usual attitude doesn't help her get welcomed. Although not as much as Kanna, she excels in both academics and sports, practices karate, and has won a tournament before.

She is one of the few main characters unaware of the existence of dragons and wizards from another world. She mistakenly believes Ms. Kobayashi to be Kanna's mother after Kanna introduced her as "my guardian" during her first visit to their home. She also joins the community without much concern for the true nature of dragons like Tohru and Ilulu. She usually calls her older sister "Georgie," but sometimes almost calls her "big sister" naturally.

From the beginning of Kanna's transfer, she was interested in her but became jealous and hostile due to Kanna's exceptional abilities. However, after making Kanna cry, she changes her attitude and becomes friends with her. Since then, she often squirms at Kanna's affectionate gestures and words, leading to a slightly dangerous atmosphere where she even declares she wants to "marry" Kanna.

Anime version: Her excessive love for Kanna leads her to frequently scream "boheee" and squirm, which has become a trademark of her character, carried over into spin-off works. After becoming friends with Ilulu, she shows similar reactions to Ilulu's affectionate gestures and words.

Spin-off works: In "Kanna's Daily Life," she appears frequently as Kanna's best friend, with her character settings and episodes significantly expanded. Although she sometimes questions Kanna, she usually overlooks it due to Kanna's cuteness.
