Lilith

Lilith looks like a slightly older version of Shamiko, but has tanned skin, long wavy blonde hair, and a broken right horn.

She is short in stature, officially 144 cm or “the height of 17 apples.”

Her clothing style tends to be laid-back, favoring sweatshirts and tracksuits with funny prints like “My blood sugar level is dangerous.”

Unlike Shamiko, she has a very flat chest, something she is teased for.

As a statue (called the “Founding Ancestor Statue”), she appears as a clay haniwa figure with one broken horn, which many consider “silly-looking.”

Lilith is cheerful, lively, and a bit egotistical.

She loves to tease and boast, and isn’t afraid to use unfair tricks—but she’s actually good-hearted and cannot become truly evil.

Although she tries to act dignified, she is a huge scaredy-cat and is especially afraid of the dark.

She gets easily attached to modern pleasures and is quite a jokester.

Though old and filled with knowledge, she often acts clumsy and unreliable, earning little respect from others.

She has a strong bond with Shamiko, who treats Lilith kindly, and for her descendant will risk her own safety.

Lilith is the founder of the Dark Clan and Shamiko’s ancestor.

Thousands of years ago, she fought the Light Clan but was sealed inside a strange statue.

After her sealing, she spent time being passed from hand to hand across ancient Orient, Egypt, and Mesopotamia, making many connections and increasing her descendants through magical means.

For 2000 years she lost contact with the outside world until, ten years before the story, her consciousness cleared up again.

When Shamiko awakened as a demon girl, Lilith started to visit her in dreams, giving her tasks to help free Lilith from her statue prison and bring back the Dark Clan.

Lilith is a type of succubus who can enter and manipulate other people’s dreams and subconscious, but being sealed limits her to only Shamiko’s dreams.

When using the statue in the real world, she can bring objects placed near it into her own inner space, but only if those items are abandoned or intentionally given.

After some of her seal is loosened, she can speak directly through the statue using telepathy.

When using a “vessel”—a small or lifelike doll—she can possess it and act in the world for a while, but with greatly limited powers and a short lifespan for the vessel.

Her knowledge of magic, demon history, and even school subjects is impressive.

She is the ancestor and mentor figure for Shamiko (Yuko Yoshida), who truly cares for her, calling her “Shamisen” (short for Shamiko’s Ancestor).

She is often treated carelessly by Seiko Yoshida, the head of the Yoshida family, almost being sold online at one point.

She is on mostly friendly terms with Momo Chiyoda, Mikan Hinatsuki, and even magical girls, acting as a weird kind of "grandma" for all.

Anri Sata and others mock her, but she keeps everyone entertained.

She is sometimes called “Gomi Aneki” (Trash Big Sis) by local kids when she collects garbage to fulfill a contract.

Her favorite drink is cola, but she cannot handle alcohol well.

She dreams of visiting hot springs, rushing to them whenever she has a usable body.

Despite being the “Witch of Eternal Darkness,” she is afraid of dark places because her seal room was pitch-black.

She once took school tests for Shamiko, scoring higher than Momo in all subjects and ranking third overall.

She also acts as a costume designer for both demon and magical girl outfits, though she tends to make the clothes extra revealing.

In the mobile game “Station Memories!,” Lilith appears as a “Denko” alongside Shamiko, Momo, and Mikan.

The Founding Ancestor and Her Seal

Lilith was sealed in the clay statue (the “Founding Ancestor Statue”) about 5,000 years ago after a battle with the Light Clan, for reasons unknown even to her.

After the seal, she struggled to control her magic and couldn’t sense the outside world.

Travelling through Ancient History

The statue got passed around through ages, from the ancient Orient to Egypt and Mesopotamia.

Lilith made many magical connections and increased the Dark Clan by raising “soul children” through magical means.

Years of Isolation

Around 2,000 years ago, her magic faded, and she was cut off from the outside world—until ten years before the story, when she regained consciousness.

Contact with Shamiko

After Shamiko awakened as a demon, Lilith could visit her dreams.

She tasked Shamiko to defeat magical girls and offer their blood to free her from the seal and revive the Dark Clan.

Life in the Statue

Lilith uses what Shamiko brings in the real world or the ancestor statue as “offerings” to recreate them in her dream world.

She enjoys cola, snacks, and tries to live comfortably despite her situation.

The Vessel Dolls

Sion Ogura and Momo made small homunculus dolls for Lilith to possess, some shaped like a deformed, cute version of Shamiko.

Later, a life-size vessel made from leftover materials allowed her to move and act in the world for up to 7 days, but with the strength of a cicada.

After an encounter with the water god Mikazuchi who embedded a Dragon Orb in her, she could stay in the real world on one condition—she must pick up 9kg of trash from the local river every day or face consequences.

The “Ancestor Statue Switch”

There’s a switch at the base of the ancestor statue, which when turned on under certain conditions, allows Lilith to temporarily possess Shamiko’s body.

However, she cannot unlock Shamiko’s full power and using this makes Shamiko sore all over.

The switch was glued down by Momo but later reopened by Shamiko.

In “Station Memories!,” Lilith’s special skill allows her team to gain more experience based on the time another team keeps a link to a station in-game.

She is officially listed as “Denko No. MKM 03,” a Trickster type with a yellow color.
