A young man who was once Japanese suffered many misfortunes in his previous life and was ultimately sacrificed as an offering by a cult that worshipped an evil god. However, he was given a chance to be reborn in a new world by the goddess Vahanat. In this new life, he is able to receive a special stone called a “Star Crystal” every day. This stone can be used for complete recovery, temporary enhancement of his abilities, and for summoning items or companions through a “gacha” system, but due to his bad luck, he almost never gets favorable results.

Additionally, he possesses a hidden ability called “Random Walk.” With this ability, even if he dies, the goddess rewinds time for him back to a predetermined save point, allowing him to search for a way to survive once again. Because of this, he tends to act recklessly and may appear to treat his own life lightly. However, this is actually a necessary strategy for his survival.
