Touko Nanami

The heroine of the story. A female student at Toumi East High School, in her second year. Born on February 19th. She is 163 centimeters tall. She has been serving as a student council officer at Toumi East High School since her first year, and after advancing to the second year, she becomes the student council president. A beautiful and talented girl excelling in both academics and sports. Although she and Yuu are in different grades and have a senior-junior relationship, their actual age difference is not as wide as depicted, as Touko is only about two months older than Yuu, making them both 16 years old throughout the series, except for the final episode.

Her family consists of her father and mother, and she lost her sister Mio, who was the student council president at Toumi East at the time, seven years ago. Originally, she was introverted and had a timid personality, hiding behind her sister, but after Mio's death, she strives to act as her sister's substitute due to the strong expectations from those around her. The real Touko is quite different from the image she presents at school, and besides her parents, only Yuu and Sayaka know the true Touko. When alone with Yuu, she shows her true self, being affectionate and sometimes selfish.

She is a girl who cannot affirm herself, disliking both her hidden true self and the self she portrays as Mio. She becomes particularly drawn to Yuu, who said she wouldn't fall in love with such a self. Initially, she stubbornly refused even Yuu's persuasion and continued to act as her sister, but through her relationship with Yuu and the success of the student council play, the real Touko begins to emerge in her daily life, and those around her accept the true Touko.

In the student council play, she plays the role of a girl with amnesia. By successfully performing this role, Touko recognizes for the first time that she is being evaluated for herself, shedding tears of joy. Afterward, she catches the eye of a director from a local theater troupe and decides to pursue acting as herself, Touko, rather than as Mio.

In the final episode, she is a university student living alone away from her parents, participating in a university theater club while also working as a professional stage actress. Although her appearance hasn't changed, she no longer behaves like Mio. She still keeps Yuu on her toes more than during high school, but their roles have reversed, and she can no longer stand up to Yuu.
