Tsubaki Sawabe

A third-year student at Sumitani Municipal Junior High School. She is Kōsei's next-door neighbor and childhood friend. Her birthday is May 19th. She is 155 centimeters tall.

She excels in athletics and serves as the main hitter for the softball team, which sometimes leads to her being teased as a "female gorilla."

She thinks of Kōsei as a troublesome younger brother and is concerned about his half-hearted state since he distanced himself from the piano. Believing that playing the piano would change something, she wishes for Kōsei to play the piano again. When Kaori asked Kōsei to accompany her, she fully supported Kaori. However, as Kaori and Kōsei grew closer through music, she began to feel a sense of alienation.

She was once confessed to by her admired senior, Saitou, but she didn't feel the same excitement as before and put off her response. They eventually started dating, but their conversations always revolved around Kōsei, leading Saitou to break up with her after realizing her true feelings. She gradually began to develop special feelings for Kōsei, who had always been like a younger brother to her, and wanted to stay by his side. When Kōsei mentioned leaving home to attend a high school with a music department, she ran away in tears.

She was called out on these feelings by Kashiwagi, who pointed out various things to her.

She hopes to attend Okutsu Girls' High School, which is near Okutsu Music University High School. Her mock exam results were a B, which surprised her classmates, who thought of her as just a muscle-brained athlete.
