Hime

Hime is a beautiful young woman with striking blonde hair and blue eyes.

On the surface, Hime is a very domestic and caring high school girl who excels at cooking. She has a hard time being honest about her feelings for Satou, even though their love for each other is mutual.

Hime is caught in a difficult emotional state. She's overjoyed that her love for Satou is returned but also feels immense guilt for forcing the destiny of another world upon him.

Having spent a decade on Earth, her values are firmly rooted in modern society. This causes her to feel intense jealousy and distress over the fact that Satou, as the Ring King, must marry four other princesses, a reality she struggles to accept.

Hime's true identity is royalty from another world. She is the princess of Nokanatika, the Land of Light.

As the "Princess of Light," she is the chosen inheritor of the Ring of Light. This is one of five rings crucial for defeating the powerful Abyss King.

To protect her from the Abyss King, she was sent to Earth as a child. She fled alongside her grandfather, the Great Sage Alabaster, and went into hiding.

For ten years, she lived a secret life in modern Japan under the name Hime Nonaka. This is where she met Satou, moving in next door to him and becoming his childhood friend.

Hime is the owner and inheritor of the Ring of Light, one of the five powerful Wedding Rings.

However, her emotional turmoil and jealousy prevent her from fully unleashing the ring's true potential. This is true even though her bond with Satou is stronger than that of the other princesses.

Satou

Hime and Satou are childhood friends who harbor deep, mutual feelings for one another. Their relationship is the central focus of her journey.

She made him the Ring King out of love, a decision that both brought them together and burdened them with a heavy fate.

While Satou openly declares that Hime is the only one he truly loves, she is tormented by jealousy knowing he must also marry the other four princesses. Their relationship is complicated by the clash between modern Earth's views on love and the polygamous duties required of the Ring King in her world.

In the original Japanese anime, she is voiced by Akari Kito.

Her alias on Earth was Hime Nonaka. Satou has affectionately called her "Hime" since they were children, unaware it was her real name.

A Decade in Hiding

To escape the clutches of the menacing Abyss King, a young Hime was brought to Earth by her grandfather, Alabaster.

She spent ten years living in secret as a normal Japanese high school girl. During this time, she moved in next to Satou and they became inseparable childhood friends.

Over the years, she fell deeply in love with him but kept her feelings and her true identity a secret.

The Fateful Choice

Hime eventually returned to her home world of Nokanatika to fulfill her destiny. Her mission was to marry the designated Ring King to help fight the Abyss King.

Attempting to protect Satou from her dangerous world, she tried to leave him behind and forget her feelings.

However, Satou couldn't let her go and followed her all the way to Nokanatika. Overwhelmed by his love and devotion, Hime gave in to her heart and performed the contractual kiss with him, unexpectedly making Satou the new Ring King.
