Satou

The protagonist of this story. A male high school student (first year). He has feelings for his childhood friend, Hime. When she suddenly announces she is leaving this world and runs away, he follows her and ends up in another world. There, he marries Hime and becomes the legendary hero, the Ring King, but to gain the power of the Ring King, he must marry four more princesses.

His appearance is considered average, and he is harshly criticized by the ring owners (Hime was the only one who defended him). He has a single-minded affection for Hime, but he has peculiar hang-ups about romance. While he might touch a chest, he refuses to engage in sexual acts, and if things seem to be heading in that direction, he stops himself (Granart has criticized him for being "tedious" about this).
