Tonbo Ōi

The protagonist of the story is a third-year middle school girl living on Hino Island, standing 167 cm tall. She learned self-taught golf on a course designed by Kuta. Though cheerful, she developed a strong resistance to the mainland after witnessing her relatives arguing over her custody following her parents' death in a traffic accident on their way to a golf course when she was in second grade. Influenced by Kazuyoshi Igarashi's efforts and Tsubura Adaniya's strong-willed approach to golf and life, she began taking an interest in the outside world. After graduating from middle school, she left the island, moved in with the owner of a golf practice facility in Kumamoto City, and pursued becoming a professional golfer while attending high school. She is a junior trainee, often starting slow, with performance typically improving from the third day onward.
