Megu Kataoka

Attendance number 6. A female student with a responsible and leadership-oriented personality, she serves as the class representative of Class E alongside Isogai. Due to frequently being seen with Isogai, they often become the subject of rumors in Class E. She excels both academically and athletically, is well-respected, and has a tall and dignified demeanor, earning her the nickname "Ikemegu," short for "Ikemen no Megu" (Handsome Megu). She is popular among the girls and still receives love letters from female students, though she doesn't find this particularly pleasing. Her treasured possession is a love letter she received from a boy, as she wishes to be popular with boys in a normal way. She ranks first among the girls in knife skills, alongside Okuda.

Due to her leadership qualities, she tends to take care of others excessively. In the summer of her second year, a classmate named Kokona Tagawa, whom she was teaching to swim, nearly drowned due to her own negligence, leading to a rescue incident. As a result, Kokona held a grudge against her and forced her to help with her studies as compensation. This caused her grades in her weak subjects to drop, resulting in her being placed in Class E, and she continued to be forced to help Kokona with her studies. However, through Koro-sensei's strategy, she learned the importance of being strict at times and decided to distance herself from Kokona.

On Valentine's Day, she gave a large amount of bulk chocolate, purchased from a discount wholesale store after a four-hour round trip by bicycle, to Isogai and his siblings. During this time, she also revealed that she was aiming for the same public high school as Isogai. After advancing to high school, both she and Isogai each had fan clubs, but due to their mutual popularity, it led to factional disputes.
