Cruhteo

Cruhteo is a 37-year-old male.

He is usually seen in the uniform of a Mars Knight and carries himself with pride and dignity.

Cruhteo is proud and dignified as a knight.

He values tradition and has strong feelings of loyalty, especially towards Princess Asseylum.

He is influenced by the former emperor of the Vers Empire to look down on Earthlings, and openly sees them as inferior.

At the same time, if someone sticks to their beliefs, Cruhteo will respect that, even if he acts cold on the surface.

He dislikes unnecessary violence and does not support acts that harm the royal family.

Cruhteo comes from one of the 37 most powerful noble clans in the Vers Empire, which is an independent nation on Mars.

He is a high-ranking Mars Knight with the title of Count.

He commands his own flying fortress and leads his own troops.

He also owns a special Kataphrakt (robot), called "Tarsis".

Cruhteo is skilled as a military leader and pilot.

He can command fleets and lead his own forces in battle.

He pilots his own specialized Kataphrakt, "Tarsis".

• Asseylum Vers Allusia: He is very loyal to the princess and would do anything for her.
• Slaine Troyard: Cruhteo sees Slaine as an inferior Earthling at first and treats him harshly, calling him "dog" and "servant". Later, he respects Slaine's true loyalty and tries to help him.
• Saazbaum: Count Saazbaum is Cruhteo's friend, but Cruhteo does not know about Saazbaum's true plans and is used by him.
• Klancain: Cruhteo's son, who appears later and carries on his father's name.
• Trillram: Trillram and others under Saazbaum's influence are guests on Cruhteo's fortress, unknowingly making Cruhteo a pawn.

Cruhteo's View of Earthlings

Cruhteo was taught by the late Emperor of the Vers Empire that Earthlings were inferior people.

He keeps this belief and calls them an "inferior race."

Though he respects loyalty and strong will, he is suspicious and cold towards Earthlings, especially Slaine Troyard.

Life on the Landing Castle

Cruhteo commands a flying castle in Mars’ orbit, watching the Earth.

He leads his soldiers from here and lives as a noble.

Uninvolved in Assassination Plot

Although close to Princess Asseylum, Cruhteo is not part of the plan to kill her.

He sees her going to Earth as a failing on his part but tries to use this regret to encourage himself and his men.

The War Begins

After the attempt to kill Princess Asseylum, war breaks out.

Cruhteo leads his troops and his flying castle to Earth, joining the invasion and fighting to expand his territory.

Interactions with Slaine Troyard

After a battle, Slaine is shot down by Inaho Kaizuka and captured by Cruhteo.

Cruhteo plans to torture Slaine, but during questioning, learns that Princess Asseylum is alive and there is a plot against her.

He understands Slaine has been acting for the princess in secret and feels deep respect.

Cruhteo decides to spare Slaine and make peace with the Earth Forces, and find those after the princess.

Cruhteo's Death

Just as Cruhteo prepares to act on his new decisions, he is attacked by Saazbaum's Kataphrakt "Dioscuria."

He realizes Saazbaum is the one behind the assassination plot.

Before Cruhteo can fight back, he is killed by the machine's beam saber and vaporized.

His Son Appears

In the second part of the story, Cruhteo's son, Klancain, comes into the story and takes on his father's name.

• Cruhteo is one of the 37 most influential houses among Mars Knights.
• Even though he can be cold, Cruhteo is not truly cruel, and he honors honesty and loyalty.
• He doesn’t agree with hurting the royal family, unlike some of his fellow counts.
