Sawako's childhood friend who attended the same elementary and middle school. Although they were not particularly close, during elementary school, they mistakenly called Sawako "Sadako," which led others to also mistakenly call her "Sadako." Feeling guilty, they continued to talk to Sawako until she made other friends.
