Daraku

He is the leader of the space pirates "Harusame" and dealt with the drug "Tenseikyou" on Earth. He has an extreme obsession with cleanliness and is particularly averse to stains or blood on his clothes. The types of people he dislikes are "those who interfere," "people who don't wash their hands," and "people with naturally curly hair." He kidnapped Shinpachi Shimura and Kagura, and inflicted a severe injury on Gintoki Sakata, but was ultimately defeated by Gintoki in a rematch. As a result, Gintoki Sakata and Kotarou Katsura became targets of the Harusame, establishing a connection with Shinsuke Takasugi as well.

His subsequent whereabouts are unclear in the original manga and anime. However, in the DS game "Gintama Gintoki vs Hijikata!? Kabukicho Gintama Great Scramble!!," after returning to the main base, he is abandoned by the higher-ups and taken in by the rival space pirate group "Bang Bang Bird," where he is revived as "Mecha Daraku." He is then defeated again by Gintoki Sakata and Toushirou Hijikata. In the game "Gintama Gintama Quest," he is treated as an ordinary person and considered a "minor character."
