Kazuma Kato

Kazuma Kato is Sosuke Yamazaki’s cousin, who refers to him as “Kazu-nii” (“Big Brother Kazu”). Kazuma always cares for and watches over Sosuke. He tells Sosuke that he plans to take over Sosuke’s family restaurant in the future and run it as “Japanese Cuisine Kazuma.”

Character

Kazuma Kato is a chef living and working at Sosuke Yamazaki’s family-owned restaurant, “Ichi-yama,” and is also his cousin. He is introduced in episode 1 of the third TV Series.

For Sosuke, along with Rin Matsuoka, Kazuma is someone he can truly open up to, and he affectionately calls him “Kazu-nii.”

Having trained as a cook in various locations, Kazuma deeply understands the emotional struggles Sosuke faces. That’s why Sosuke feels comfortable confiding in him about things he finds difficult to share with Rin or his juniors.
