Squealer

A bakenezumi serving as the chief administrator of the "Shiroya Abagane Colony". His attitude towards human beings is extremely servile. Later, he is given a kanji name "Yakomaru" by the humans. His eloquence and intelligence stand out, but so does his cunningness of not hesitating to use any means to achieve his goals, causing Saki and Satoru to distrust him.

He seems to have some hidden ambition. After becoming the top figure in Shiroya Abagane and using Saki and the others, he goes on to implement one reform after another against the old practices and customs. He expands his power by pushing for the integration of the colonies.
