Ghost

Ghost’s appearance is heavily influenced by Yoichi Fukazawa. Due to Yoichi’s lack of aptitude or skill, her face closely resembles his. Later, her manifestation slightly shifts based on Kakeru Niimi’s memory, but her looks and tone remain unchanged. Throughout the story, Ghost’s physical presentation carries a certain eerie charm, consistently resembling both Yoichi and, faintly, Sophitia.

Ghost is fiercely aggressive and cold-hearted, finding pleasure in toying with weaker opponents. She displays a strong sadistic streak, often mocking others for her amusement. However, after becoming tied to Kakeru, her personality softens, showing hints of loyalty and less malice, though her sarcastic edge never fully disappears. She follows orders with complaints but ultimately completes tasks dutifully.

Originally, Ghost is a phantom entity created by an artifact possessed by Yoichi Fukazawa. Her existence is a byproduct of Yoichi's compatibility—or lack thereof—with the artifact, creating a being that looks shockingly similar to him. In the beginning, Ghost’s deep knowledge of forced artifact contracts and methods of turning people into familiars makes Sophitia and Kakeru suspect she’s linked to extremist factions within Sephirot.

Ghost wields the powers of the "Magic Eye" artifact. While initially suspected to be the artifact's user herself, it is revealed that she can use this ability only because she is Yoichi’s phantom duplicate. Later, after a confrontation with Iris and the transfer of the artifact to Kakeru, Ghost becomes Kakeru's phantom. Her abilities stay the same, but her behavior changes as she becomes more loyal and less hostile under Kakeru's influence.

Iris: Ghost becomes involved in a pivotal confrontation involving Iris, leading to her transfer to Kakeru’s control.

Ghost’s image and behavior shift depending on whose phantom she is. If the artifact changes owners, her demeanor and loyalties reflect that person’s subconscious perceptions. Despite her radical personality changes, her speech patterns and appearance do not alter much.

Episode 2: Blue Skies, Blue Songs, Sounds of the Sky

Ghost appears as an enigmatic adversary, displaying her sadistic tendencies and unmatched knowledge of artifact use. She is suspected of being an agent for extremist factions within Sephirot because of her advanced and forbidden skills.

Episode 3: The Illusion Unveiled

The truth about Ghost emerges: she is a phantom created from Yoichi Fukazawa by the artifact. Her resemblance to Yoichi becomes a source of confusion and suspicion among the protagonists. During a crucial confrontation with Iris, the artifact’s ownership shifts from Yoichi to Kakeru, making Ghost the latter’s phantom.

Ongoing Role

After becoming Kakeru’s phantom, Ghost’s attitude shifts, becoming more cooperative though never fully friendly. The heroes repeatedly summon her for help, and while she complains, she provides assistance diligently. Her unique knowledge and powers remain essential assets throughout their journey.

Ghost’s origins and evolving personality highlight themes of identity, free will, and the mysterious consequences of artifact use. Her dual existence—with roots in both Yoichi and Kakeru—makes her a multi-layered and unpredictable presence.
