He is notorious for his cowardly and cruel nature, embodying extreme wickedness in both personality and methods.

Despite his high status, he lacks the kind of selfless devotion often expected from those in similar positions.

Yamza’s personality is defined by duplicity and ruthlessness.

He prefers underhanded tactics, taking pleasure in cruelty and brutality rather than honorable combat.

He pursues his own gain above all else and does not risk his life for others, even for his lord Clayman.

His loyalty is pragmatic and conditional, based on benefit rather than genuine respect or faith.

Yamza serves under Demon Lord Clayman as the foremost executive and a key member of the Five Fingers.

He is the only one among the Five Fingers who voluntarily chose to become Clayman’s subordinate rather than being forced or created.

Although he formally acknowledges Clayman as his master, his loyalty stops well short of self-sacrifice.

He will follow orders as long as they align with his interests or survival.

Yamza is widely known by the epithet “Ice Blade Swordsman.”

Invasion of the Beast Kingdom

During this campaign, Yamza confronts Albis, one of the Three Beastketeers serving under Beast King Karion.

Despite his status as the strongest of the Five Fingers, Yamza is ultimately defeated by Albis in direct combat.

Transformation into Charybdis

Following his defeat, Yamza becomes entangled in one of Clayman’s more sinister plans.

Through Clayman’s machinations, Yamza’s soul is drawn into a fragment of Charybdis, a powerful and destructive monster.

This process fuses Yamza with the fragment, turning him into a new incarnation of Charybdis against his will.

Even in this monstrous form, however, he proves unable to turn the tide of battle.

Benimaru, one of Rimuru Tempest’s chief subordinates, confronts the Charybdis-turned Yamza.

Benimaru incinerates the Charybdis body completely, resulting in Yamza’s true death along with the destruction of the monster.

Yamza specializes in ice-based techniques combined with swordsmanship, fitting his title of Ice Blade Swordsman.

He uses cold, precise, and merciless attacks that mirror his own personality.

As the strongest of Clayman’s Five Fingers, his raw power and skill are significant even among high-ranked demons.

However, his reliance on cruelty and arrogance, as well as overconfidence in his status, ultimately contributes to his defeat.

Clayman

Yamza’s relationship with Clayman is built on utility rather than genuine devotion.

He voluntarily joined Clayman, seeing an opportunity for power and influence under a Demon Lord.

Despite serving loyally on the surface, Yamza does not possess the kind of unwavering loyalty that would make him lay down his life without hesitation.

His allegiance to Clayman is therefore conditional and self-centered.

Enemies and Opponents

Yamza’s key opponents in the story are Albis and Benimaru.

Albis defeats Yamza during his invasion of Eurazania, proving that even the strongest of the Five Fingers can be outmatched.

Benimaru later obliterates Yamza in his Charybdis form, definitively ending his role in Clayman’s schemes.

Through these encounters, Yamza serves as a narrative foil to more honorable warriors, highlighting the limits of power without true loyalty or conviction.
