Eris Boreas Greyrat

Daughter of the Boreas Greyrat family, a high-ranking noble family in the Kingdom of Asura. Known for her wavy, crimson hair.

Nicknamed "Mad Dog" for her violent nature, she has been expelled from noble school due to repeated incidents of violence and has even hospitalized her tutors. Her father, Philip, believing she could not live as a noble, decided to have her taught swordsmanship (Sword God style) by Ghislaine, thinking that she might as well become an adventurer in the future. Her aggressive nature suits the offensive Sword God style, but she is unable to learn the more defensive Water God style techniques. Although rough, she does not strike those she cares about and will comply with things she dislikes if given a convincing explanation. She has a straightforward and refreshing temperament, quick to move on from unpleasant experiences, though she continues to harbor hostility towards those who have hurt Rudeus, even after issues are resolved.

She possesses exceptional talent in swordsmanship and an indomitable fighting spirit, with her master Ghislaine and Ruijerd endorsing her potential to become even stronger than themselves. Initially, she had no intention of becoming very strong, but after developing feelings for her tutor Rudeus, she dedicated herself to mastering swordsmanship, the only skill she could beat him in, to be worthy of him and to fight alongside him. Her motivation to become stronger is to protect her loved ones, and she has little interest in titles.

During the Fittoa region teleportation incident, she was transported to the Demon Continent with Rudeus, where they aimed for the Fittoa region while learning the demon tribe's combat techniques from Ruijerd. However, feeling like a burden to Rudeus, who could do everything on his own, and losing to him in a magic-less duel, along with the incident where Rudeus was nearly killed by the Dragon God Orsted, her insecurities grew. Upon finally reaching the Fittoa region and learning of the deaths of her parents and grandfather, and misunderstanding that Rudeus was preparing to fight the Dragon God Orsted again after starting to learn the chaotic magic used by Orsted, she resolved not to be a burden anymore and decided to train at the holy land of swords with Ghislaine, leaving a note behind and heading to the holy land.

She is the protagonist of the spin-off comic "Mushoku Tensei: Eris is Seriously Sharpening Her Fangs."

In the Netlabo Investigation Team's "Mushoku Tensei" character popularity ranking, she was ranked second.
