Character Introduction
EditA god original to this work, formed by the amalgamation of the Seven Lucky Gods, appearing as a long-haired child and representing the malevolent gods of myth. Originally a lucky god, he tried to bring happiness to people by absorbing their misfortune into himself. However, as he absorbed more misfortune, both his body and mind became corrupted. Despite his intentions, the people who should have been relieved of their misfortune did not become happy, and even treated the boy who helped them dismissively, leading to his despair. By chance, he met Buddha during his human life and was told by Buddha that happiness is something one must find themselves, and that misfortune is also a part of happiness, negating his belief and revealing the fact that Buddha's method made people happier than his own, driving him insane. He turned into a malevolent god, but to fulfill his original role as a lucky god, he split into seven, which led to the birth of the Seven Lucky Gods. His divine weapon, "Axe Kyo," grows in size and power each time he feels his own misfortune, absorbing it and changing shape.
Craving the acknowledgment he hungered for, he envied and resented Buddha, who was revered by people, but realized that Buddha understood him the best. After a physical confrontation, he was saved and reconciled with Buddha. However, right after that, the factor of Balor previously embedded in him by Beelzebub awoke, leading to his absorption and annihilation by Balor. Yet, his will remained in the remains of Axe Kyo, and with Buddha using the Axe Kyo in a mutual life-risking ceremony of divine weapon lotus birth, as Balor vanished, he showed a smile to Buddha and, along with the Seven Lucky Gods, departed by complete annihilation.
