Her family was burned alive by a witch,
so she made a contract with the wish “I want the power to defeat witches.”
This dark motivation stemmed from her loss and desire for revenge.
Tsubaki worked as a live-in helper at the Hinata household.
After the early death of the sisters’ mother, she became a mother figure to Kanari and Matsuri Hinata,
taking care of them with genuine care and warmth.
However, she left the Hinata house to protect Suzune Amano,
choosing loyalty to her fellow magical girl above all else.
After leaving, she traveled and fought alongside Suzune.
Unfortunately, Tsubaki prioritized using acquired Grief Seeds for Suzune’s Soul Gem,
neglecting her own purification needs.
This self-sacrifice eventually led to her Soul Gem becoming tainted,
causing her tragic transformation into a witch,
where she was ultimately defeated by Suzune herself.
Tsubaki’s magical girl attire is a striking, traditional Japanese-style outfit themed in red.
She wields a Japanese sword (katana) as her weapon.
Her magic specializes in fire, especially the technique “Flame Dance,”
where, unlike Suzune, she can release blazing fire from her palms.
Her name, Tsubaki, comes from the camellia flower,
symbolizing both strength and fleeting beauty.
Tsubaki Mikoto stands out as a passionate, selfless magical girl,
bearing both the scars and heroism of her desire to protect others.
