Akatsuki

Akatsuki is a monster from another world who is accidentally tamed by Yūya Tenjō during a casual bath scene.

Despite Akatsuki’s cute, piglet-like appearance, this creature possesses a rare and powerful support-type ability that makes it indispensable against “evil” powers.

Akatsuki resembles a tiny boar with a compact, round body.

Its most notable feature is its fluffy, bright red fur, which gives it a very striking and cuddly look.

Even though many people might mistake it for a piglet at first glance, Akatsuki’s build and aura are closer to that of a proud wild beast.

The soft, bushy coat also emphasizes its role as a more endearing, mascot-like character among Yūya’s party.

Akatsuki has a strong sense of pride in being a member of the Menghuai species.

Because of this pride, being called a “pig” is extremely offensive to it and will quickly provoke anger or sulking.

Outside of that sensitive point, Akatsuki comes across as a friendly and approachable companion.

It is comfortable around Yūya and Night, treating them like trusted partners rather than simple masters.

Akatsuki is not very useful in direct physical combat, especially compared to heavy hitters in Yūya’s group.

Its strength lies instead in its rare support skill, which can decide the outcome of battles in specific situations.

Akatsuki possesses a special skill called “Sanctuary.”

This skill has the power to neutralize and render harmless any force categorized as “evil” or “corrupt,” making it extremely effective against demonic or cursed energies.

While Akatsuki might not be the one charging into the front lines, its ability to shut down evil power sources can completely turn the tide of a fight.

In encounters where enemies rely heavily on dark magic or corrupt auras, Akatsuki’s presence becomes crucial.

Akatsuki first appears when Yūya Tenjō and Night are taking a bath together.

At some point, Akatsuki slips into the bath without anyone noticing, blending into the relaxed atmosphere.

By the time anyone realizes Akatsuki is there, it has already been tamed by Yūya, almost as if it happened naturally.

This casual, almost comedic introduction fits Akatsuki’s status as a charming but unexpectedly important partner.

From then on, Akatsuki travels with Yūya and the others as part of his growing group of companions.

Although it does not stand out as a warrior, its Sanctuary skill gives the party a secret weapon against enemies that rely on evil power.

Akatsuki belongs to a monster species known as Menghuai.

Members of this species appear similar to small boars, but they possess unique magical traits and are far more dignified than ordinary livestock animals.

The Menghuai species is associated with strong pride and a clear sense of identity.

This is why Akatsuki reacts so strongly when mistaken for a pig and insists, in its own way, on being recognized as Menghuai.

Because of this species’ special affinity with purifying or neutralizing evil influences, Menghuai like Akatsuki are rare and valuable allies.

Their abilities are especially prized in worlds or regions where demonic forces and corrupt energies are common.

Yūya Tenjō

Yūya Tenjō becomes Akatsuki’s tamer almost by accident during their first meeting.

Even so, Akatsuki quickly accepts Yūya and grows close to him, treating him as a reliable protector and partner.

Yūya, in turn, values Akatsuki not just for its Sanctuary skill but also as a cute and comforting presence in his otherwise dangerous adventures.

Their relationship is light-hearted but built on trust.

Night

Akatsuki first appears while Night is also present in the bath with Yūya.

Because of this, Night becomes one of the first companions Akatsuki interacts with.

The two share the bond of being tamed beasts under Yūya and form a kind of “monster companion” team.

Although their personalities and roles differ, they complement each other: Night as a strong fighter, Akatsuki as a powerful support.
