This character appears in Chapter 25 of the original manga's second volume (Episode 8 of the anime adaptation). She is a high school girl who sat next to Mai Inose at the preliminary venue of the Japan Earth Science Olympiad, in which Mai Inose participated. She has experience competing in the finals in the previous year. Noticing that Mai Inose was nervous, she helped her realize that the people around her were not rivals, but rather companions who also love earth science. In the original manga, only her surname is introduced, but in the anime adaptation, a full name is provided.
