The eldest son of Karstedt. He has dark green hair and blue eyes. He had a wife named Heidemarie, but while he survived due to his resistance, she was poisoned along with their unborn child.

A knight guarding Ferdinand. He is a Ferdinand supremacist and has pledged his name to Ferdinand to gain his trust. He knows about Rozemyne's birth and, despite being Ferdinand's half-sister and often troubling him, she has gained Ferdinand's trust without pledging her name, which has made him envious at times. However, he is continuously surprised by the relationship between Rozemyne and Ferdinand. Rozemyne, in her position as a member of the lord's family and the High Bishop, reduces Ferdinand's burdens and expresses concern for him, which has dispelled his jealousy.

In the first chapter of the OVA side story, he is ordered by Ferdinand, along with Justus, to investigate information about Myne, who is to become a shrine maiden apprentice.
