Once, an elderly man gave his loyal companion, Komugi, the name "Marron" and spent each day together with him. However, as his age and health declined, it became difficult for him to continue caring for Komugi. He was forced to leave Marron at a volunteer facility while he himself moved into a retirement home. After Iroha Inukai learned of these events from Ayako Yuuki, she visited to see Komugi, spoke gently with him, lovingly petted him, and shared memories of his days as Marron. Iroha Inukai pleaded with Kurihara, wishing to stay together with Komugi. However, just then, Gao Gaon appeared, causing a commotion in which they temporarily escaped with the help of Satoru. Later, after the successful rescue of Gao Gaon, Komugi returned to human form. With a warm embrace and words filled with nostalgia and gratitude for the past, he revealed his true feelings. In that moment, Kurihara sharply realized that this girl was Marron. He took the hands of Iroha Inukai and Komugi and quietly accepted Iroha Inukai's heartfelt wish.
