Aub Ehrenfest (Lord of Ehrenfest). He has deep purple hair tied back with a silver hairpin, and sharp, determined eyebrows with deep green eyes. He is the biological father of Wilfried, Charlotte, Melchior, and Henriette. He has a playful side, teasing Myne upon their first meeting, reminiscent of a schoolboy. While he fulfills his duties and responsibilities as a lord when necessary, he often shirks his work, frequently delegating it to his half-brother Ferdinand. He enjoys new and interesting things and is somewhat of an eccentric, occasionally sneaking into the lower town where commoners live.

Informed by Ferdinand of Myne's value, he accompanied her to the Spring Prayer Ceremony as a blue-robed priest, concealing his identity. Afterward, he toured the orphanage and workshop, learning about Myne from Benno, Lutz, and the orphans. Convinced of her benefit to the territory, he gave Myne a certain magical tool. To protect her from nobles of other territories, he adopted her as his daughter, severing her ties with her family.

He is generally lenient with his family. Having been disillusioned by sibling rivalry himself, he preemptively decided Wilfried as the next Aub and entrusted his education to his mother, Veronica. He believed Wilfried would turn out like him, but when Wilfried and Rozemyne switched lives, Wilfried was shown to be inferior to the orphanage children, merchant apprentices, and gray priest apprentices. He couldn't accept this and was branded useless by Florencia regarding Wilfried's education. On the other hand, he also has a cold side as a lord, executing the High Priest, his uncle, who tried to abduct Myne by bringing nobles from other territories into Ehrenfest, and imprisoning Veronica, his mother, who forged documents to enter Ehrenfest.
