Dariel

The protagonist of this series is Dariel, whose story begins at the age of 32. He was working as an assistant to one of the Four Heavenly Kings in the Demon Lord’s Army, but he is dismissed from his position by Bashvaza. In fact, Dariel is a member of the human race and cannot use magic. However, his compatibility with all types of aura is at the highest level.

Within the Demon Lord’s Army, there was a prevailing belief that "using weapons of the human race is a disgrace for demons," which led Dariel to always fight barehanded. He excelled at being considerate to those around him and was good at looking after others, making him an excellent support member in the rear even without combat power. Demon race members who understood him, such as Droyes and Lizette, appreciated these qualities. His subordinates, the Knockers, respected him deeply, and he could distinguish each Knocker individually. This ability continued to serve him after arriving in the village of Lax, where, as village chief, he greatly contributed to the village’s development by expanding facilities like the Mithril Workshop and the Adventurers’ Guild.

Dariel also has a slightly careless side, sometimes changing his attitude when looking at Malika’s chest. As a human, he originally should not be able to use magic, but after his battle with Bashvaza, he becomes capable of using magic due to the influence of forbidden spells, making him the only being who can wield both aura and magic.
