Suzuka is a seemingly cool-headed woman with a large facial scar, who is secretly an extreme masochist that serves the Empire while constantly seeking out more intense forms of pain.
Suzuka's most defining feature is a large, prominent scar that runs across her right cheek.
She maintains a composed and professional demeanor, which effectively conceals her true, pain-loving nature.
At first glance, Suzuka appears to be a cool-headed and sensible person, but this is merely a facade.
Her true personality is that of an extreme masochist who derives immense pleasure and joy from experiencing pain.
Her desire for suffering is so profound that she seeks out increasingly violent sensations, even contemplating an attack on the formidable Esdeath to satisfy her craving.
After being buried alive by Tatsumi, she awakens to a "new play," developing a twisted interest in him for introducing her to this novel experience.
Suzuka is a highly formidable fighter, possessing combat skills that allowed her to completely overwhelm Tatsumi in their initial confrontation.
Her masochistic nature grants her incredible endurance; she survived being buried alive and later being slammed headfirst into a wall by Esdeath, injuries that would have killed an ordinary person.
Esdeath
While serving under Esdeath, Suzuka secretly wants to attack her, viewing the general as the ultimate source of the intense pain she craves.
Esdeath violently punished Suzuka by smashing her into a wall when she and Dorothea tried to torture Tatsumi.
Tatsumi
She first encounters Tatsumi as an enemy and effortlessly defeats him in battle.
After he buries her alive, her feelings toward him shift to a twisted fascination, seeing him as someone who opened up new masochistic possibilities for her.
Akame
During the final battle, Suzuka abandons the front lines to confront Akame after the latter assassinates Saikyou.
She attempts to bury Akame alive by collapsing a tunnel, completely unconcerned about being caught in the destruction herself.
Seryu Ubiquitous
Suzuka works alongside Seryu to investigate and confirm the identities of a disguised Tatsumi and Mine.
Initial Encounter and Defeat
While on a surveillance mission, Suzuka spotted a disguised Tatsumi and Mine. She accompanied Seryu to confirm their identities.
When their cover was blown, she attempted to report to Esdeath but was intercepted by Tatsumi, whom she engaged in battle and utterly dominated.
Tatsumi managed to lure her into a set of ancient ruins before collapsing the entire structure, burying her alive.
In the anime adaptation, Suzuka's story ends here, as she does not reappear after this incident.
Joining Wild Hunt
Suzuka miraculously survived being buried and eventually returned to the capital.
She then joined Wild Hunt, providing Prime Minister Honest and Syura with information on Tatsumi.
Now harboring a masochistic interest in Tatsumi for awakening a "new play" in her, she sought him out.
Along with Dorothea, she attempted to torture the captured Tatsumi, only to be stopped when Esdeath brutally slammed her face into a wall; she survived the grievous injury.
The Final War
Suzuka participated in the final battle for the Empire, fighting alongside Esdeath against the Revolutionary Army.
She later broke off from the main conflict to confront Akame in the city of Saiyuu, after Akame had assassinated a key target.
There, she attempted to collapse an underground passage to bury Akame alive, fully intending to be caught in the cave-in herself for the thrill.
After the war's conclusion, she was one of the few surviving members of the Empire's forces.
She managed to find Esdeath's severed right hand, which she cheekily took as a "severance package" before disappearing completely.
Suzuka is one of the very few antagonists from the series who successfully survives the events of the entire story.
As a final act, she takes Esdeath's severed hand as a morbid souvenir and retirement bonus before vanishing.
