Syura is the sadistic and violent son of Minister Honest, who uses his privileged position to lead the brutal secret police, Wild Hunt, and commit unspeakable atrocities with his dimensional Imperial Arms, Shambhala.
He is a man with brown hair and a distinctive cross-shaped scar across his face.
Syura wears an object on his head that is identical to the one worn by his father, Minister Honest.
Though he often acts with a nonchalant and carefree attitude, this is merely a facade for his true nature.
Syura is incredibly violent, sadistic, and cruel, finding immense pleasure in torturing his victims.
He mercilessly cracks down on rebels and even goes as far as to torture and kill innocent civilians, like the wife and daughter of Bols, for his own sick amusement.
Syura is the son of the corrupt Prime Minister Honest, a position he shamelessly exploits for personal gain and power.
He used his influence to establish and lead Wild Hunt, the Empire's secret police force tasked with eliminating dissent.
This role allows him to operate with impunity, indulging his violent tendencies by hunting down anti-government elements and anyone else he pleases.
Imperial Arms: Dimensional Formation: Shambhala
Syura wields the Imperial Arms known as Shambhala, which takes the form of a small circular emblem.
This powerful item allows him to create portals and teleport himself or others to any location he has previously marked.
Physical Prowess
He is a capable fighter, engaging Wave in a bare-knuckle brawl.
In *Akame ga Kill! Zero*, Merraid witnessed him assaulting an official and commented that he "moves well for a man," acknowledging his physical skill.
Formation and Atrocities of Wild Hunt
As leader of Wild Hunt, Syura terrorized the capital, brutally suppressing any perceived revolutionary elements.
His cruelty knew no bounds, as demonstrated when he sadistically tortured and murdered the innocent wife and daughter of the late Jaegers member, Bols.
For a personal objective, he also unleashed a Danger Beast that Dr. Stylish had left behind.
Confrontations and Downfall
Syura later appeared before Tatsumi and Esdeath, using Shambhala to teleport them to a deserted island he had previously marked.
When he attempted to harm Kurome, Wave intervened, leading to a fistfight that Syura ultimately lost.
Refusing to accept defeat, he tried to challenge Wave to a rematch, but Minister Honest stopped him, calling him "pathetic" after Run revealed he had evidence of Wild Hunt's many crimes.
Final Moments (Manga)
After Run exposed his heinous acts, Minister Honest was forced to disband Wild Hunt, leaving Syura powerless.
In a last, desperate act, he grotesquely tortured a captured Lubbock, even crushing his testicles, to get more information on Night Raid.
However, Lubbock turned the tables, using a wire hidden in his mouth to snap Syura's neck, resulting in an anticlimactic death. His Imperial Arms was then taken by Lubbock.
Final Moments (Anime)
In the anime, Syura's end comes in a fierce battle against Lubbock.
Using an enhancement drug, he was able to use Shambhala's teleportation abilities repeatedly, having marked spots all over the palace.
He tormented Lubbock by manipulating a resistance member with a false promise, but this act of toying with lives only fueled Lubbock's rage.
Lubbock severed Syura's right hand, and when Syura tried to banish him as a last resort, Lubbock used his Cross Tail to drag Syura into the portal with him, shredding his heart and killing him.
