Ranka Ōkami

Ranka Ōkami is extremely small for a wolf.

She is from a cold northern country, where the lowest temperature is 20°C.

Ranka usually borrows clothes from her big sister, which is why she is much smaller than her sister, Ferrill Ōkami.

Ranka is cheerful, innocent, and always full of energy.

She believes that friends can be made with any animal, not just wolves.

Ranka is determined, never giving up even when Jin Mazama calls her names like "dumb dog".

She is always hot-blooded about friendship and often jumps into trouble to help others.

As a wolf, she cares deeply about having a pack and wants to be the boss.

When Ranka was a child, she was bullied by a bear.

A human boy, who turned out to be Jin Mazama, saved her.

Because of this, she believes in becoming friends with other animals outside her own kind.

However, she does not realize that the boy who saved her was Jin.

Although Ranka is weak in most fights and can even lose to Meri, a younger herbivorous sheep, she has some amazing powers.

In important moments, she can use her strong legs and has a biting force of 180 kg.

When danger comes close to her friends, she can show real bravery and strength, such as scaring off a threatening chimpanzee.

Ranka falls deeply in love with Jin Mazama and wants to be his partner for life.

She calls him by name, which is rare for Jin.

Even though he treats her roughly and calls her "dumb dog" or "stupid dog," Ranka keeps following him.

She also dreams of being the leader of their pack and making friends with all students.

Ranka becomes the head of the Cooking Club after Hitomi Hino gives her the position.

She forms close friendship ties with the Cooking Club members and is protective of them.

Childhood Rescue

When Ranka was small, she was saved from bullies by a human boy, who is actually Jin Mazama.

This gave her the idea that even wolves and other animals can be friends.

Cooking Club

Ranka becomes the head of the Cooking Club after Hitomi Hino passes her the job.

This is her dream come true—finally becoming the boss of a group.

However, she is really bad at cooking, which causes all sorts of funny problems.

The Final Battle

In the last episode of the anime, Ranka has to fight the boss of the EX group to help Jin Mazama and Hitomi Hino.

At first, she is knocked down and everyone thinks she will lose.

Because of cheers from her friends, especially Miyubi Shisho, and support from all the characters, Ranka finds the strength to stand up and fight again.

This mirrors a similar event in episode 5.

In the anime, Ranka is also in charge of the ending theme, which is a song about her feelings.

She is bright, loving, and never gives up on her friends or her dreams.
