Lisa Mishima

The heroine of the story. A girl attending the high school where Nine and Twelve have transferred. She is bullied in her class and is troubled by her overly interfering mother, who is somewhat neurotic. During the bombing at the Tokyo Metropolitan Government Building, Nine gives her the choice, "Die here as you are, or become an accomplice. You choose," and she chooses to become an accomplice. After meeting Nine and Twelve, she hopes to escape her current stifling situation and runs away from home. She is taken in by Twelve and lives with Nine and the others for a while. Eventually, realizing that her presence is hindering Nine and the others' actions, she leaves them but is taken away by Hive. Furthermore, she is used by Hive as a tool to lure Twelve, and after Hive extracts information from Twelve, she is released along with him. She informs a dazed Twelve that Nine is holding a press conference and encourages him to support Nine. A year after the Sphinx incident, she reflects, "Many people have asked me about it since then, but I couldn't answer anything." On her way back from visiting Nine and the others' graves, she encounters Shibazaki and tells him about the music Nine listened to and the meaning of "VON." She seems to be bad at cooking, as Nine and Twelve harshly criticized her food as "terrible" and "inedible." According to Twelve, Lisa's voice is "pale yellow," a color rarely found in sound.
