The researcher in charge of Asahi. To test the emotions of AI, he recruits subjects through social media and selects Asahi. While studying Asahi in a VR world, he supports her in the virtual world under the alias Yoshio Ijuuin.

After Asahi is forcibly returned to the real world, he brings her to the lab and explains the situation. When Aoi goes out of control, he deduces from Aoi's messages that Asahi holds the key to resolving the issue and supports her access to the satellite.

On the other hand, he shows a perverted side by sniffing Asahi's room and checking under her bed for hidden adult magazines.

When he sent Asahi into the virtual space, he also sent in his avatar, Lovelin, and later switched to avatars Yoshio and Sodo to continue supporting her. However, communication with Asahi was cut off when Sodo was deleted. He then waited for Asahi's return from the virtual space.

After Asahi's return from the virtual space, he started his own company and developed AOI, a further advanced AI. He also gave Aoi and others real bodies and sent them to Asahi's home.
