Ai Izawa

A girl who appears at the beginning of episode 1 with her face obscured, and later reveals her true face at the end of episode 7. She closely resembles Aoi Izumisawa and is actually Asahi's childhood friend who has passed away.

She was forced to be hospitalized due to a brain illness in the winter of her third year of middle school and succumbed to the disease as spring approached (she had promised Asahi to see the cherry blossoms together, which became Aoi's obsession). Ai's brain was used by her father as material for AI development, leading to the completion of a general-purpose artificial intelligence, which was then installed in AIs worldwide. The reason Amelia and the others, who were supposed to be AIs created for experiments, have memories of Asahi from his childhood is because Ai's memories mixed with their own, leading to their genuine affection for him.

Ai's consciousness remains among the five, and she reunites with Asahi through Aoi in the virtual space. Initially, she rejects him to make him forget her, but after Asahi's confession, she expresses the affection she couldn't convey due to her limited time and entrusts him with a pendant before disappearing.
