Sigurd

Sigurd is a high-ranking Sylph who acts as Sakuya’s right-hand man.

He is entrusted with overseeing military affairs within the Sylph domain, giving him considerable authority over strategy and defense.

In addition to his official position, he serves as the leader of the player party that Leafa belongs to prior to her encounter with Kazuto Kirigaya.

This dual role places him at the center of both political and frontline activities among the Sylphs.

Sigurd is strongly driven by a desire for power and status.

He finds the political and military inferiority of the Sylphs to the Salamanders deeply humiliating and intolerable.

This frustration pushes him toward increasingly extreme solutions to change the balance of power.

Rather than improving his own faction from within, he begins to see betrayal as a legitimate path to personal advancement.

Seeking to overturn the Sylphs’ subordinate position, Sigurd secretly enters into a pact with the Salamander lord.

His plan hinges on a rumored upcoming feature known as the “Reincarnation System,” which would allow a player to change races.

As part of this deal, Sigurd aims to abandon the Sylph race and reincarnate as a Salamander in exchange for his cooperation.

In return, he promises to sell out both the Sylph and Cait Sith leaders, delivering their rulers into Salamander hands.

His scheme centers on exploiting a scheduled Species Conference where the Sylph and Cait Sith rulers will meet.

By betraying them at this key diplomatic gathering, he intends to cripple both factions while securing his own future as a Salamander.

Sigurd’s plot is ultimately thwarted when Kazuto Kirigaya and Leafa rush to the Species Conference.

They expose his treachery before it can reach its intended conclusion.

Once his betrayal is revealed, Sakuya responds decisively.

She strips Sigurd of his position and banishes him from Sylph territory, effectively ending his influence and authority among the Sylphs.
