Ragna

The protagonist of this work. In the story, he is sometimes called the "Grim Reaper" due to Crimson's arrangements.

At the age of three, his parents were killed by a dragon, and he was later attacked by dragons at the homes of his relatives and the Sykes family, who bought him. Believing himself to be cursed due to these experiences, he meets Leo and starts traveling with him. Witnessing Leo's genius-level strength changes his perspective, and he begins to idolize Leo as a hero. However, because he lacks talent as a dragon hunter, he wishes to stay by Leo's side to be useful until the day he is killed by a dragon. He is later informed by the future Ragna that this wish will not come true, and he inherits the future Ragna's strength to protect Leo. He vows to annihilate all dragons to protect what is dear to him, parts ways with Leo, and starts acting together with Crimson.

After inheriting the strength, he curses himself again, thinking, "The only people who should be involved with me are those who can either die or won't die," and avoids interacting with humans. However, after fighting alongside Michael and the Silver Armored Corps, his perspective changes, and he starts wishing to survive together with the people around him.

Since he inherited the strength from the future Ragna, his body is fused with the Silver Sword. He fights using techniques centered around Silver Energy Combat and the Silver Sword, and his strength is on par with high-ranking dragons and dragon kings. He can also imbue weapons, ammunition, and other objects with silver energy to enhance their power, and by perceiving his body as a sword, he can increase its durability.

Even without using Silver Energy Combat or the Silver Sword, he is the strongest among humans. In the story, he easily defeats skilled swordsmen like Leo, Shin, and Garm without using weapons. He also has the ability to resist the "Time Manipulation Magic" used by Altimatia.

On the other hand, he is not good at negotiations. When he encounters Crimson in the present, he mistakenly boasts about his household skills, literacy, and arithmetic to Crimson, who is interested in Silver Energy Combat. During negotiations with the Silver Armored Corps, he misinterprets Crimson's advice that "you could probably say 'poop' and still raise your favorability" and ends up calling Crimson "poop."

He also has an introverted personality. Initially, with Leo by his side, it wasn't a problem, but after parting ways with Leo, he is seen as unreliable, getting nauseous in crowds, avoiding attention, and having difficulty talking to people. In fact, at the beginning of the story, Crimson considers him a "mediocre person with strength beyond his means and no initiative."

However, he is not cowardly; in battle, he stands firm against dragons. He has a strong aversion to dragons, and even when praised for his strength by the warrior-like Taratectra, he shows a displeased expression.

Above all, he has an extraordinary obsession with annihilating dragons. When encountering dragons, he immediately attacks regardless of Crimson's intentions and never gives up on hunting dragons, even when he is severely exhausted.

Silver Energy Combat

A technique developed by the future Ragna over several decades. It releases silver energy from the practitioner's entire body, causing dragons that touch the practitioner to have their blood's magic power frozen. When activated, Ragna's hairstyle changes and shines silver. In the story, he defeats high-ranking dragons like Grymweld and Melgubde and overwhelmingly defeats Altimatia. However, the exhaustion after use is severe, and Ragna must rest for a long time each time he uses it. It is also suggested in the story that it shortens the practitioner's lifespan.

Silver Energy Creation Sword

A technique that creates a silver sword from the practitioner's silver energy. Although the created silver sword is described as "crude," it has an incredible sharpness and high-quality silver energy. In the story, multiple silver swords are created simultaneously and thrown at enemies.

A technique used by Ragna in the battle against Altimatia to fly through the air using silver energy.

Dragon Hunting Flash

A technique that releases a large amount of silver energy instantaneously and delivers a powerful slash.

Dragon Hunting Twin Flash

A technique used against dragon kings. It delivers two consecutive Dragon Hunting Flashes at the speed of light. It was used by Ragna, who was enhanced by the Silver Comet.
