Kazuma is a special Regalia for the war god Bishamon and stands out among her followers. He is a young man with glasses and the oldest existing Regalia in Bishamon’s group. He is a survivor of the "Ma" clan, and his main duty is not fighting but helping maximize the abilities of other Regalia. Although his own combat ability is low, he is vital as a navigator and support. Kazuma carries a heavy past – his clan was destroyed, and because of trauma, he once created an environment where his group was forced to pretend to be happy. Inspired by Hiyori Iki’s words, he changed for the better. His real name was Seiji Hirano, and before his death, he was a kind-hearted youth who met a tragic end. Kazuma’s story is filled with sadness, loyalty, and redemption.
Kazuma appears as a young man with short hair and wears glasses.
His Regalia form is a cherry blossom-shaped earring, but he can also become a Japanese sword, divine clothes, or even a bow.
When joining Bishamon’s group as a proper member, he wore a business suit.
Kazuma is polite, friendly, and respectful to most people.
He is very considerate and tries to keep peace within his group.
Deep inside, he carries pain from his past and feels responsible for the fate of his former clan.
He can be strict, especially in training or when giving guidance, but does this out of care.
Kazuma is deeply devoted to Bishamon, worrying for her, supporting her, and even calling her by a special nickname.
Sometimes, his love for Bishamon turns him a little reckless or makes him act less reserved.
Kazuma is the only living member of the "Ma" clan, but before, his clan was a big part of Bishamon’s followers.
His past is marked by a big tragedy that wiped out everyone from his family except him.
His real name was Seiji Hirano, born as the second son of a salt merchant family.
He was killed by his jealous older brother at age 19, just before he was supposed to get married.
Kazuma is a Regalia with low direct combat abilities, but he excels at support.
He can enhance all other Regalia's abilities – improving their aim, expanding attack range, and correcting mistakes.
This support lets Bishamon become the strongest war god.
Eventually, as a "Blessed Vessel", he gains more abilities and forms, such as transforming into a sword, armor, or a bow.
He was always good at sensing spirits, even when new.
Kazuma is very close to Bishamon and calls her "Vina".
He respects and admires her greatly, wishing for her happiness above his own.
He feels grateful to Yato, describing him as "an enemy but also a benefactor" for saving Bishamon in the past.
Kazuma also interacts with other Regalia and gods – sometimes acting strict or even harsh, but always with good intentions.
Kazuma’s Regalia form was first just a small nail (a kind of pin), which later became a cherry blossom earring.
He is both a survivalist and a loyal protector.
He wishes to make Bishamon the "center of God Seven", a funny dream he speaks about.
In the past, he liked a girl who was a year older than him, though nothing came from this crush.
"Why did you have to notice that...?"
"Is that name just for decoration? Protect her!"
"I survived, but only as a traitor."
Becoming Kazuma
Kazuma started as just a nail-shaped Regalia, feeling out of place because of his unique "Ma" clan heritage.
He could not even draw borders when he was new.
His mentor, Touma, was also considered an outsider.
They worked hard, but Kazuma didn’t improve at first.
Bishamon invited him on patrol, where he got to prove himself for the first time and was praised by her.
The Clan Tragedy
A terrible event happened: Bishamon became blighted and her group started to fall apart, searching for someone to blame.
Touma, who cared for the group, suggested unity but was punished and lost because she was disliked by the others.
Disagreement and suspicion ruined the family, and Bishamon’s condition got worse.
Kazuma could not take it anymore and turned to Yato for help, saying, "Please kill my clan."
He sacrificed everything to save Bishamon, so Yato defeated the blighted Regalia, saving her.
"I was the only one left, a traitor," Kazuma says, and this is why Yato is both his enemy and his savior.
Kazuma’s Awakening and Growth
Later, Kazuma awakens as a Blessed Vessel and receives a new name: "Koyomi" for Bishamon, turning into greater weapons.
He becomes a true leader, uniting Bishamon’s group and creating a more honest, open environment.
He is still haunted by the past, but Hiyori Iki helps him realize that forcing smiles does not solve sorrow, and he changes his way of supporting others.
Kazuma’s Death as Hirano Seiji
Before he became a Regalia, Kazuma was Seiji Hirano, the second son of a salt merchant family.
He was killed at 19 by his jealous brother, right before his wedding.
He once admired an older woman who worked at their store.
When his Regalia form was erased, he remembered his family and disappeared with calmness and regret.
His passing hit Yato hard and weakened him in battle.
Kazuma is essential to Bishamon both as her guide and as her support in battle.
His story is one of love, sacrifice, and the hope to make things right for those he cares about.
He dreams big for Bishamon and always tries his best to put her at the center of everyone's respect.
