Uncle

Protagonist. 34 years old at his first appearance. His real name is Yousuke Shibazaki. At the age of 17, he was hit by a truck and remained in a coma for 17 years. In reality, he was transported to another world called Granbahamal, where he possessed extraordinary powers such as swordsmanship and magic, and embarked on adventures. Although he has the typical protagonist setup of an "isekai" (another world) story, his appearance is that of a typical skinny, long-haired otaku with an aged face, and his introverted personality often leads to him subverting the usual "isekai" tropes (for example, his ordinary appearance in the other world led people to mistake him for an "orc subspecies" and he was nearly hunted several times). Even after returning, he can still use magic, and upon his nephew Takafumi's suggestion, he decides to make a living as a YouTuber. In his cohabitation with Takafumi, there are many scenes where he is surprised by the societal and technological advancements and the generation gap of the past 17 years.

His personality is good-natured, and he often tries to help those in need, but due to his appearance and lack of communication skills, he is often misunderstood and faces unreasonable situations. Additionally, he has no experience with women and believes that no woman would be interested in him, so he fails to notice the affections of Tsundere Elf, Mabel, Alicia, and others. Despite this, he often unconsciously leads others to misunderstand his intentions, such as by giving a precious ring as a thank-you gift.

During his time in Granbahamal, he was able to use a variety of magic through communication with spirits and superhuman sword skills through physical enhancement. This was a unique ability even in Granbahamal, and it was later revealed to be due to a special translation ability given by the god who transferred him there (named "Wild Talker"). Spirits also exist in the real world, and as mentioned above, he can use magic in the same way.

Originally, he was an enthusiastic SEGA fan and gamer, and his life lessons are all based on his gaming experiences from his youth. On the other hand, he is unfamiliar with games other than SEGA, as well as anime and manga. One of the things that surprised him upon returning to the real world was that SEGA had lost the console wars.
