Owen is the captain of the royal knights of the Arselia Kingdom and a subordinate who can be entrusted with missions related to Lexia von Arselia.
Owen serves directly under King Arnold of the Arselia Kingdom as captain of the royal knights.
He is a capable, serious-minded knight who often ends up suffering because of Lexia von Arselia’s free-spirited behavior.
Owen’s primary duty is to protect the royal family and maintain order as the leader of the kingdom’s knights.
Because of his reliability, King Arnold frequently assigns him delicate tasks involving Lexia and important guests.
He is trusted enough to be sent as a messenger to special individuals such as Yūya Tenjō.
In these roles, he must balance loyalty to the king with managing Lexia’s impulsive actions.
Owen receives direct orders from King Arnold and takes them very seriously.
One notable mission was when Arnold ordered him to convey the king’s request for an audience to Yūya Tenjō.
During his report back to Arnold, however, Owen accidentally revealed more than he intended.
He carelessly mentioned Lexia’s proposal of marriage to Yūya, thus informing the king that his daughter had actually proposed to a man.
Owen is constantly dragged around by the whims of Lexia von Arselia.
Her free-spirited nature forces him into many awkward situations despite his earnest personality.
He inadvertently told King Arnold not only about Lexia’s marriage proposal to Yūya Tenjō, but later also slipped up and mentioned that Lexia had gone to visit Yūya’s house.
These slips of the tongue cause him no end of trouble, both as a knight and as someone responsible for watching over the princess.
Despite his exasperation, Owen continues to support Lexia and clean up after the chaos she causes.
This makes him a classic “hard-luck” character: competent and sincere, but always suffering because of others’ recklessness.
Owen is diligent, loyal, and fundamentally honest, which unfortunately leads him to blurt out the truth at the worst possible times.
He does not intentionally betray secrets, but his straightforward nature makes him a poor liar.
He is easily flustered by Lexia’s bold actions, especially when romance is involved.
Even so, he remains devoted to performing his duties as a knight and protecting both the kingdom and its princess.
