Akogi is the vice leader of Mie Motors, and in practice, he is the one who truly runs the group.
Most of Akogi’s lines are difficult to hear because the sound of his own motorcycle’s engine drowns them out.
To help viewers understand, subtitles are displayed on the screen for almost everything he says.
He rides a sporty racer replica, closely resembling a Yamaha TZR (3MA).
Akogi harbors strong hostility towards the Aichi side.
His grand ambition is for Mie to dominate as a single power.
To pursue this goal, Akogi deceives Tomoki Suzuka by claiming that Dandy is the legendary rider, Daijiro Nozuya.
He tricks Tomoki into signing papers, then places him under lock and key.
Not only does Akogi manipulate the circumstances behind the scenes, but he also enters the race himself, determined to defeat Dandy.
What Akogi never realized was that Dandy truly is Daijiro Nozuya.
Despite his plotting, this crucial detail escapes him entirely.
During the race, Akogi resorts to extreme sabotage—firing missiles from his motorcycle at Dandy and Tomoki Suzuka.
He throws every dirty trick in the book at his rivals.
In the end, however, Akogi suffers an unexpected loss.
He is overtaken not by a rival biker, but by Tomoki Suzuka pedaling a bicycle, crossing the finish line ahead of him.
