Shou Hayabusa/8823

Second-year student. Leader of a delinquent group. A handsome, sharp-minded, and well-respected individual who reigns as the top of Gakubun High School, known for his strength in fights. He is the "Charisma Yankee" who oversees the delinquents of Gakubun High School. The junior delinquents of Gakubun rely on him in times of trouble. He is also someone whom Acchan looks up to. Although he doesn't quite match Sakamoto, he still garners significant attention from the girls.

The origin of "8823" is unknown, but it is believed that his real name is "Shou."

Due to Maruyama becoming afraid of Sakamoto, he challenges Sakamoto to a one-on-one fight, claiming it would set an example. However, he ultimately loses both in skill and as a person. Being inherently loyal and principled, he goes to Kubota's house, who suffered due to a junior's blunder, and apologizes by bowing deeply with his juniors to make the one-on-one fight with Sakamoto happen. Since then, he has held Sakamoto in high regard, and when he needed to learn French dining etiquette due to family circumstances, he humbly asked Sakamoto for guidance.

It is believed that he lost his mother and takes care of household chores for his still-young siblings.

In Haruta volume 36, a spin-off one-shot featuring him as the protagonist, titled "Hito Yonde 8823," was published.
