Ukyou is one of the veteran male workers of Rokushokan, being close to forty years old. He has a wife who is a former courtesan.
He is fond of children and is known for his kindness and sense of responsibility. He willingly took care of newcomers to Rokushokan such as Sazen and Yugi Mutou. Maomao also remembers that, when she was very young, he once gave her shoulder rides.
