Sakura Adachi

The protagonist of this work, a first-year high school student at the start of the story. She has short black hair, is left-handed, and is taller and larger in build compared to Shimamura, though she has a slender physique. Shimamura imagines Adachi as a 'dog', and Adachi herself thinks that she's similar to a dog.

She barely attends classes, instead, she slacks off in various places around the school such as the gym, and her delinquency is acknowledged by both teachers and students. People around her say she seems cold and beautiful, but in reality, she just finds it difficult to express emotions and socialize. At her core, she's serious and considerate of others, and she has a well-maintained lifestyle. Despite skipping classes even more than Shimamura, she has better grades in school.

Adachi has a very negative personality and often dwells on her past words and actions. However, she also has a sense for planning, as seen when Shimamura asked her to decide on a place to play for Christmas and she went scouting the same place three times.

Even before meeting Shimamura, to kill time, she worked part-time at a Chinese restaurant, where she wears a cheongsam as her uniform because the manager said she was 'young'.

She spends very little time with her family, and her relationship with her parents isn't good.

Originally, she was portrayed as a cooler character, but her personality developed as described above relatively early on. As a result, the author has published a short story titled "If I had continued with the initial route" online.
