Yutaka Mikasa (美笠 優高, Mikasa Yutaka) is Tenji Mikasa's biological father. He worked as a Prosecutor, and was close friends with Wataru Sawaragi.
According to Tenji, he was kinder and smarter than anyone, and always gave him the right answer to everything. For the former, he was like a textbook.
As a policeman, he also had the qualifications of being a lawyer, being a former one. He taught Tenji about how the most important thing for a lawyer to have is "A full belief for their defendant, whatever might happen".
He raised his son, Tenji, all by himself.
Wataru Sawaragi
Yukata had utmost trust in Wataru; expressing his trust even if things could potentially go wrong, and called the latter his "peerless best friend". He believed that Wataru would protect him in any situation.
He and Wataru Sawaragi were originally close friends in university. Even though they had become employed, their bond held on. Since then, they became associated again after a get-together. According to Shiho Sawaragi, one day, Wataru suggested that there can be "no other husband for Shino than Tenji". For some reason, even he agreed, and stated it as "wonderful".
