For a while after meeting Asahi, she lived as a candidate for marriage while being treated as a boy named Ilya Ilyukhin (according to Asahi's father, "In this day and age, there's no need for boundaries like male or female"). However, this was in accordance with the will of her father (voiced by Ryo Sugisaki), who originally wanted a boy and said, "Live your life as a man." In reality, she is a bona fide girl. She uses "Boku" as her first-person pronoun to play the role of a boy. She is often attacked by dogs.

She continued to act as a boy to honor her father's will, but when she slipped and hit her head in the hot spring at the inn, she was discovered by Asahi. At that time, Asahi encouraged her to "live as Ilya," and she confessed that she wanted to live as a girl. She then revealed her real name and gender to the group, and from then on, she chose to live as a girl, switching her uniform from hot pants to a skirt. She also started using "Watashi" as her first-person pronoun.

When Asahi returned to the virtual space, she took on the form of a tengu to protect Asahi, but in the end, she was defeated and disappeared along with Karin by a group of BTs.
