He actually appeared from the first episode, and it was his accidental shove that knocked out Tadano, which led to Komi and Tadano getting closer. He has had a girlfriend since his first year, and during the school trip, he was questioned about it by Kotaku and Samurai, who were in the same group. In his third year, he belongs to Class 3-1, once again sharing the same class with Komi, Tadano, and Najimi. He was unable to apologize to Tadano-kun for elbowing him (without ill intent), but he managed to apologize in his third year. He ranked 65th in the popularity poll.
